Drill Railway

Power Drill

The sound: The electric motor driving the chuck holding a drill bit or borer is turned on by a switch. The handle allows the lowering and raising of the chuck and at the same time the upper part of the drill can also be moved 180 degrees to the left and right.

Free standing vertical drill for drilling and boring steam locomotive connecting & coupling rod bearings, originating from the early 20th century. It was manufactured by Weiss Manfred R.T. CSEPEL of Hungary. Located in the old locomotive workshops in Ljubljana, it is still used in the maintenance and restoration of the museum steam locomotives.
