Bonfires Ignition Midsummer Eve

Bonfire ignition

Finnish Midsummer tradition is a Midsummer's eve bonfire. The tradition goes back to the pagan times. Midsummer eve's bonfire tradition is fairly common around Baltic sea countries and even Ireland. The bonfire is usually burned at the lakeside. This bonfire was burned at the lake Näsijärvi during a midsummer family feast organised by the Niemi house owner's association. Finnish June of 2015 was very rainy, so there were a lot of problems to lit the bonfire even with the help of fuel.
