About the sound
The cash register made by Anker-Werke Bielefeld from the 1920s originally documented earnings and also stored cash. It is unknown where this cash register actually was in use. Today it is a privately owned collectors’ item.
The cash register's sounds are made when operating the press-buttons and the crank handle. The mechanical sounds of the cash register are created when using the levers in order to enter the amount of cash, and also when cranking the handle to print the receipt. The ringing sound, typical of old cash registers, is made when the cash drawer opens.
