Turku Market Square Soundscape

This sonic walk was recorded at Turku Market Square. In the recording you can hear people doing their shopping, shopkeepers selling their products and in the background a construction work being done.

At the moment plans are being made to build a parking space under the Market Square for 600-800 cars. It has been a highly controversial decision with lots of people for and against it. The renovations have been started in October 2018.
