chatting Market People Square

Laukontori

Laukontori is a town square located south from Central Square in Tampere. The square is famous for its food and coffee stands, the fish markets and its port from where the Hopealinjat ships departure from.

The square got named after the first steamboat in the Pyhäjärvi (lake) called Laukko.

People (especially in the summer time) enjoy drinking coffee or eating the famous “black-sausage” in the square.
