The Bridges of Tammerkoski

Tammerkoski is a channel of rapids in Tampere. In the video can be seen two bridges that crosses Tammerkoski.

First you will see in the year 1897–1900 built Satakunnansilta that crosses Tammerkoski from the north side of Hämeensilta. It is used by both vehicle traffic and pedestrians.

Patosilta is a dam of power station. It was introduced for pedestrians and cyclists in 2000. People have attached hundreds of love locks to the bridge railings, which also appears on the video.

In the sound file is heard the flowing Tammerkoski.

On the day the video was filmed was -20 °C. Tree branches and bridge rails are covered by frost flowers and steam rises from Tammerkoski to the cold air.
