Mothor-powered Past, Hand-Powered Thresher TPS Šentjur
Hand-powered threshers were in use in Babno Polje and Bloke already before the First World War, and their use additionally spread between the two wars. The locals bought used 'capstan threshers' in the Gorenjska region where electrically powered threshers began to be introduced. Where there was an electric power system, petrol engines were replaced by electric motors. Other than the sound generated by the hand-powered thresher, the rustling of straw can also be heard in the recording.
