Sounds accompanying motorman’s work during 102N tram ride from Nowa Huta tram depot to the Museum of Municipal Engineering in Cracow. The tram participated in regular traffic.
102N tram is one of the first high-speed articulated trams operating in Cracow. It was manufactured in Konstal steel structures factory in Chorzów (Poland) in 1969. 102N tram had the capacity of 182 passengers, including 32 seats.
The motorman operated the tram with the use in particular of: a controller crank adjusting the voltage reaching motors, used to change the speed and perform motor braking; a reverser used to change direction (forward/reverse) and a hand brake.
The recorded vehicle was in operation in the years 1969 – 1997. At present it constitutes one of the exhibits of the Museum of Municipal Engineering in Cracow.
