Assembled under a General Motors (GM) licence by Đuro Đaković, Slavonski Brod (former Yugoslavia, present day Croatia). Type 664 locomotives were supplied to Slovenia during 1984-86; a total of twenty locomotives were delivered to Maribor (11) and Divača (9).
Locomotive 664-118 is one of the Divača locomotives and used around Nova Gorica and railway lines in the Štajerska region and between Sežana and Jesenice. It was nicknamed "Reagan” because it was assembled and supplied in the period of Ronald Reagan's presidency in the USA.
