Keitelejazz Volunteer Work IV: Tie-down Straps

Keitelejazz is a summer jazz festival held in the small town of Äänekoski Finland. First Keitelejazz was held in 1985 and the festival has then grown steadily in size gathering international artists to perform in it.

Most of the work behind the festival is done by volunteers with the jobs ranging from tractor drivers to handymen and waiting staff.

Festival tents are secured in place by poles drilled into the ground and then stretched to desired tension with the aid of tie-down straps. The sides of the tent are first stretched by a tractor, which can also be heard in the audio, and then secured in place manually.
