Asphalt Paving I: Drive-by

It is not uncommon to bump into asphalt paving works while driving around in Finland during the summertime.

During the summer of 2018 over 3000 kilometers of road is being paved. Because of the short summer period in Finland, the paving works have to be done quickly.

Asphalt paving is being done also during the nighttime when the air is cooler and there isn’t so much traffic.

In this recording you can hear how it sounds when you are driving past the colony of paving machines and road rollers.
