Coal lignite Mining Museum Velenje

The Coal mining Museum of Slovenia, opening a valve for compressed air

While the demonstratior opens a valve for compressed air, we hen hear it exhausting from the pipe.

The Coal mining Museum of Slovenia in Velenje is certainly one of the most exciting and recognizable tourist in the Šaleška valley. It is the result of work of many generations of Slovenian miners and it represents a very interesting way of cooperation with the still working Coal Mine Velenje with an annual production of around 4 million tons of coal and coal mining tradition that has lasted since 1875.
