Linköping (where this sound was recorded) is certainly not New York and noise pollution is perhaps not a big problem here but still sounds like the ones you can hear in this recording are something many of us here have to live with in our everyday lives.
The sounds are those of traffic from the big road "Brokindsleden" close by and the inner court just outside the apartment (which belonged to your truly).
