Women's Day's Demonstration

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. In Tampere Women's Day was remembered with a demonstration called “Against oppression – Me too!” which purpose was to make the complex net of oppression in a patriarchal society visible.

Participants of the walk gathered at the Central Marketplace at 5 pm and the parade walked to the statue of Minna Canth.
In the video and in the audio the catch phrase “sortoa vastaan”can be heard. “Sortoa vastaan” means against oppression in Finnish.
