Vapputori (International Workers’ Day Market)

Vappu is the Finnish name of the International Workers’ Day, which is celebrated on the first of May. In Finland the 30th of April is also celebrated as “Vappu eve” and in many city centers “Vappu markets” are opened of the two days of the festivity. Vappu is also known as the “student’s day” and as a spring carnival for the children.

In Finnish Vappu markets you can finds many clothes, grilled food and lots of balloons.
