The river Wisla embankments – bulwar Kurlandzki
The soundscape of bulwar Kurlandzki in Krakow, recorded near the church at Skałka. The Wisła boulevards are today one of the favourite places for walks for the inhabitants of Krakow and an important route for cyclists (a part of the European cycling route, EuroVelo4). The boulevards were built in the early 20th century in order to protect the city from floods. In the past, the Wisła waterfront played an important role in river navigation.
