Bonfires Intoxicated lakeside Midsummer Eve

Bonfire burning

Finnish Midsummer tradition is a Midsummer's eve bonfire. The tradition goes back to the pagan times. Midsummer eve's bonfire tradition is fairly common around Baltic sea countries and even Ireland. The bonfire is usually burned at the lakeside. This bonfire was burned at the lake Näsijärvi during a midsummer family feast organised by the Niemi house owner's association. After around 30 minutes the bonfire finally caught the fire. No intoxicated juveniles were harmed during filming.
