A moment of silence for extinct species

The 22nd of May 2018 was the international day for biological diversity. This day in Stockholm there was a manifestation held by several environmental organizations. During the manifestation there was a moment of silence for extinct species.
According to the international union for conservation of nature (IUCN) we are facing a mass extinction of species around the world. Dying species means dying sounds of nature and changes in the ecological soundscapes.
This recording is a starting point for recordings of nature reserves around in Sweden. These places have unique soundscapes that might be gone in the near future if we don’t take better care of our planet.
